CHatterbox (NIKKE)
Chatterbox: A Labor of love
Chatterbox was a massive project that required months of build time and planning. It didn’t happen easily, but it was a welcomed challenge that really pushed me to new heights in cosplay.

Crafting Progress
This build was largely simple but massive in scale! After a long planning process, I eventually scaled him physically to myself with a projector. I tried to use this scale as my design bible moving forward best I could.
-
PVC - Chatterbox's main structure was made with PVC with metal wire and purple PVC binder.
EVA Foam - The outer shell is completely made with EVA foam. Lower layers were removed to reduce weight.
Caster Wheels - His arms are fitted with 8 caster wheels per arm to be able to free stand and support themselves fully.
Plastidip - I coated and sealed the foam with Plastidip! Nearly 12 cans were used.
This in total was about 900 USD and took around 350 hours.
-
A proper large scale for this character was really important to me! I set up a projector and scaled his waist to mine.
Chatterbox ended up being 9 feet tall and nearly as wide with his spikes included!

Logistics for Chatterbox are honestly a nightmare. I love cosplay and challenges, but this was a new beast to me. Transporting him anywhere requires a tall van and multiple handlers. While Chatterbox was only 900 USD to make, his combined transportation costs far exceeded that.
